Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Zyppa Technologies' services ("Zyppa"), including the Zyppa mobile application and website at zyppa.in. By using Zyppa, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

1. Who Can Use Zyppa

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Zyppa.
• You must provide accurate registration information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• One person may not create multiple customer accounts for misuse of promotions.

2. The Zyppa Platform

Zyppa is a technology platform that connects customers with local shop owners in Kerala. Zyppa facilitates discovery, ordering, and payment — but is not the seller of the products. The contract for the sale of goods is between the customer and the shop owner.

Zyppa is a pickup-first platform. Orders placed on Zyppa must be collected by the customer from the shop. Zyppa does not provide delivery services.

3. For Customers

• Browsing and ordering on Zyppa is free for customers.
• Payment must be made online at the time of placing the order.
• Orders are confirmed only after payment is received.
• Customers must collect orders within the time specified by the shop, using the OTP provided.
• Cancellations after the shop accepts an order may be subject to cancellation charges as stated at checkout.
• Refunds for cancelled or failed orders are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

4. For Shop Owners (Vendors)

• Registering as a vendor on Zyppa is free.
• Vendors must provide accurate business information, including valid FSSAI licence (for food), drug licence (for pharmacy), or other required certificates.
• Vendors are responsible for the accuracy of their product listings, prices, and availability.
• Vendors must honour accepted orders. Frequent cancellations may result in account suspension.
• Zyppa collects a commission on successful orders and settles the remaining amount to the vendor's bank account 2-3 days after transaction completion.
• Vendors must comply with all applicable Indian laws including GST, FSSAI, and consumer protection regulations.
• Zyppa reserves the right to remove any product listing that violates applicable laws or our policies.

5. Payments and Refunds

• Payments are processed by Razorpay. By paying on Zyppa, you agree to Razorpay's terms.
• Zyppa holds payment in escrow and releases it to vendors after successful order completion.
• In cases of dispute, Zyppa will review evidence from both parties and determine the outcome.
• Zyppa does not charge customers any delivery or platform fee.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Zyppa to:

• Sell or purchase illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited goods
• Engage in fraudulent transactions or impersonate others
• Circumvent Zyppa's payment system or settlement process
• Post false reviews or manipulate ratings
• Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the Zyppa platform
• Use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable Indian law

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Zyppa — including the logo, app interface, text, and design — is owned by Zyppa Technologies and protected under Indian copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce or use our IP without prior written permission.

Vendors grant Zyppa a non-exclusive licence to display their product images and information on the platform to facilitate sales.

8. Limitation of Liability

Zyppa is a technology intermediary and is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of products sold by vendors. Disputes regarding products are between the customer and the vendor, though Zyppa will assist in dispute resolution.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zyppa's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the relevant transaction.

9. Termination

Zyppa reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or harms other users. Vendors may close their accounts at any time by contacting vendors@zyppa.in.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Kochi, Kerala. We encourage resolving disputes first through our support team at hello@zyppa.in.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Zyppa after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be notified via push notification or email.
